An attorney in the Cybersecurity/Data division in Rennes and Paris, Jean-Nicolas Robin has a passionate interest in new technologies and their regulation. His approach to law is based on the need to find a fair balance between man and technology so as to respond to current and future issues.
After completing a dissertation on money laundering in the digital age, he wrote a doctoral thesis on criminal law in the digital age.
He also worked as a judicial assistant at the ordinary court of Vannes.
He is a member of the Cybersecurity Chair at the Saint Cyr Coëtquidan Military Academy, a graduate of the 102nd youth session at the Institute of Advanced Studies in National Defence, and teaches cybersecurity law at Université de Rennes, ENSIBS Vannes, and the Rennes School of Business.
Jean-Nicolas Robin provides consulting services and assists in legal proceedings in the areas of cybersecurity, personal data protection, and business criminal law.

Positions held and distinctions earned
- He was a finalist in the 2019 edition of the moot court competition organised by the Rennes bar.
- He is a youth conferee at the Institute of Advanced Studies in National Defence as well as serving as a permanent member of the cyberdefence and cybersecurity Chair at the Saint Cyr Coëtquidan schools.
Teaching activities
- He serves as a lecturer at different organisations (Universities, Sports Management School, Specialised Masters II programmes) and at conferences and seminars with national and international influence.
In everyday life
- Jean-Nicolas ROBIN loves to practice sports, particularly trail running, ultra trail running, swimming and cycling.
